ECW Discussion: Kane vs John Morrison/CM Punk vs Miz

First off, NO I wont stop putting up the ECW discussion because one of these days something amazing is gonna happen on ECW and were all gonna wanna talk about it. Two matches have been scheduled for tonights ECW episode 101, Kane vs John Morrison and CM Punk vs The Miz I guess to pump up the Kane and Punk vs Morrison and Miz match that was just added to this Sundays Judgment Day PPV. And speaking of Morrison and Miz does anyone watch their dirt sheet video’s on WWE.com they can actually be pretty funny maybe one of these days the WWE will air those on ECW in lue of another boring Mike Knox match. Getting back to tonight’s show Mick Foley will also be making another appearance on Matt Striker’s Classroom segment so they got that going for them. Go ahead I dare you to discuss ECW here.

I just wanted to do a quick little bit of shameless promotion.

WWE Monday Night Raw Discussion: Judgement Day Build

Usually this is where I tell you what’s going down on Raw tonight…you know, wrestling matches. As of now, unfortunately, there are no matches announced for the show.

Still, it’s the last Raw before Judgment Day, so something HAS to happen. You know, crazy stuff, like William Regal cutting off the TV feed or something.

Discuss Raw here!

Also, don’t forget to check out the Bobby Lashley interview. Word.

TNA Sacrifice Discussion: Yes, That’s Tonight!

Despite my resent TNA Impact nap time I seriously considered purchasing this PPV but now that were about 15 minutes away it just doesn’t look like there gonna get my cash. Here’s the final card for TNA’s Sacrifice:

Triple Threat Match For The TNA Championship
Samoa Joe (c) vs. Scott Steiner vs. Kurt Angle The Winner of the TerrorDome Match

Looks like Kurt Angle is unable to compete in the main event due to a neck injury although it could be a work at this point it looks like Kurt Angle will not wrestle on the PPV. BTW TNA if this isn’t a work it would have been a little more ethical to let the fans know before the PPV started that Angle was not going to be wrestling if I would have purchased this PPV I would be a little pissed right now. Jim Cornet announced that the winner of the Terror Dome match will get both an X Division Title shot and Kurt Angles spot in the main event for the TNA World Title.

Deuces Wild Eight-Team Tournament for the TNA World Tag Team Championships
Announced teams: Team 3D, Christian Cage & Rhino, LAX (w/Salinas & Hector Guerrero), AJ Styles & Super Eric, Sting & James Storm, and Matt Morgan & Kip James

Two more teams will be determined at random at the pay-per-view. Participants still available to be picked include Booker T, Robert Roode, BG James, and TNA Women’s Champion Awesome Kong.

TNA Knockout Makeover Battle Royal
Gail Kim vs. ODB vs. Traci Brooks vs. Christy Hemme vs. Velvet Sky vs. Salinas vs. Angelina Love vs. Roxxi Laveaux vs. Rhaka Khan vs. Jacqueline

Stipulations: The match will begin as an over-the-top battle royal until there are two competitors. The competitors will then face each other in a ladder match. The winner will receive a TNA Women’s Title shot, the loser will have her head shaved. Gail Kim has immunity from having her head shaved.

TerrorDome Match
Jimmy Rave vs. Johnny Devine vs. Shark Boy vs. Curry Man vs. Jay Lethal vs. Sonjay Dutt vs. Chris Sabin vs. Alex Shelly vs. Consequences Creed vs. Kaz to become the number one contender for the TNA X-Division Championship.

Kanadian’s Yea/Boos: Smackdown May 9th, 2008. DVRers beware.

It’s the fourth installment of Kanadian’s Yea/Boos, the TV and (still holding out for a) PPV review of what made me feel happy on the inside, as well as what made me set fire to things on the outside. DVRers beware, I’m getting right into May 9th’s episode of WWE Smackdown:

Yea - Edges shirt is great. I don’t usually mark out for Canada-wear, but the same cannot be said about Edge. No Khali, no Mark Henry, sounds like a good tournament.

Yea - lol at Torrie still cut into the SD! intro.

Boo - I’ve been defending WWE’s booking of CM Punk, but I don’t agree with the way this Matt Hardy vs Punk match was booked. A quick match dominated mostly by Hardy that buries Punk. If they want to keep Punk a face (which I want them to do at least for a little while longer), they best be moving him to a real show so a push can occur.

Boo - I hate Hornswoggle, where’s JBL to give beat down when you need him?

Boo - Finlay vs MVP. The match starts out good, some nice chains, but after the commercial its just rest holds. Finlay back suplex to a double pin. Garbage ending with no explanation as to how this affects the tournament.

Boo - Two female wrestlers and a model. Kelly vs Natalya w/ Victoria. It actually isn’t horrible before they cut to the back to show Michelle McCool watching on a monitor, for no other reason than to piss off Kanadian I suppose. Natalya rightfully jobs out Kelly with an HBK quality Sharpshooter (thats a bad thing).

Yea - John Morrison vs Batista. This is a good one, Morrison dominates for most of the match and Big Dave does a nice job selling; at least an OK job selling. Batista gets in control at the end, cool midair spear, Batista Bomb, Dave wins, Morrison goes over.

Yea - I know Big Show vs Tommy Dreamer doesn’t sound like a wrestling fan’s ideal match, but I’m pretty happy by this time with all the wrestling on this show. Quick match, of course Show over.

Yea - Chavo vs Kane. This aside from Wrestlemania, I haven’t seen any of these guys’ matches together. I usually find Chavo very boring, but a lot like the Batista match, I liked the dynamic of the big guy getting beat up. Kane over with a SUNSET FLIP COUNTER, YES!

Yea - Just thought I’d mention the enjoyment I got out of Foley’s color. He’s not the greatest ever, but compared to Adamle/Tazz, Tenay/West, and stale JR/Jerry “the stupid” Lawler, Foley is good.

Boo - Vladimir Kolslaw

Boo - The battle royal begins, and MVP keeps going to the outside. Heel or not, leaving the ring during a battle royal is stupid.

BOO! - I’m so sick of Batista vs Taker (*I wrote as I watched)

YES! - EDGE! EDGE! EDGE! EDGE! I dig this angle to get Edge vs Undertaker III. They do had to get three matches out of this feud, at least now they can make the story a little interesting. I like this.

To summerize, I thought it was a good show, lots of wrestling, they cut most of the crap. Am I interested in next weeks Smackdown? Yes. Am I an Edge mark? I say rightfully yes. Am I going to buy Judgement Day? Not a chance.
- Love, Kanadian

Smackdown Discussion: Matt Hardy vs. CM Punk

Tonights Smackdown looks pretty desent on paper here are the confirmed matches:

  • U.S. Champion Matt Hardy vs. CM Punk
  • ECW Champion Kane vs. Chavo Guerrero
  • Fit Finlay vs. MVP
  • Batista vs. John Morrison
  • Big Show vs. Tommy Dreamer
  • Natalya Neidhart vs. Kelly Kelly
  • Vladimir Kozlov vs. Mike Atlas
  • Battle Royal to see who will face The Undertaker at Judgementday

Also in none Smackdown related news justice is served Judge Philip Federico ruled that Nick Hogan will serve 8 months in Pinellas County Jail. He’ll also have 5 years of probation, 500 hours of community service and his license is suspended for 3 years. And Jeff Hardy’s 60 Day suspension is over as of tonight he is eligible to be on Monday nights edition Raw.

Torrie Wilson = Gonzo

WWE has posted the following on their official website:

WWE has come to terms on the release of WWE Diva Torrie Wilson as of today, May 8, 2008. We wish Torrie the best in all her future endeavors.

I’m not a Torrie Wilson fan but this is some cold shit from the WWE. Torrie suffered a carrier ending back injury in the ring and is unable to compete physically anymore. The last I heard she was renegotiating her deal to be a WWE spokes person like Ric Flair and Ron Simmons but it looks like that didn’t work out. Maybe Torrie desided on here own that she no longer wanted to be apart of the company but it may be more likley that the WWE offered her a shit deal when she hurt her back.

ECW Discussion: 100th Episode

Not a lot of people would have been willing to bet a year and a half ago that the new ECW would still be around in May 2008. But you have to give it to them despite a depleted roster of only 14 wrestlers, a head writer position that has changed at least 4 times in only 2 years and a new play-by-play announcer who could very well be retarded not only are these mother fuckers still hanging in there they consistently get a better rating then TNA Impact. There is no solid info on what they have planned for tonight but I expected it to be pretty consistent with what we’ve seen from ECW over the last 2 years. The few that watch this hundredth episode can discuss it here.

WWE Monday Night Raw Discussion: Vinny Mac Returns

Well hot diggity! Vince McMahon is kicking off Raw, and he’s going to address William Regal’s actions. Hopefully he’ll be 100% behind the heel general manager. What do you guys think Vince will say?

In other action, Randy Orton will face CM Punk. That could be a good match if it’s given the proper time.

In addition, Roddy Piper will be the guest on Carlito’s Cabana. That’s right, I said Carlito’s Cabana. MARK OUT!

But seriously, discuss Raw, and whatever else is on your mind, here.
