Something to think about

Since the original post has rotated off the front page, and it wasn’t tagged so I can’t pull it back up, I wanted to bring something back up for discussion.
The toxicology reports in the Benoit tragedy showed that Nancy Benoit had a very high blood alcohol level (the actual number escapes me right now). The person doing the report said that it was probably much higher, but tested at a lower number due to the time of death.
This really brings up a lot of questions for me. I’m not trying to start the infamous “did-Benoit-really-do-it” argument, but you have to admit that this raises many more questions than it answers.

So your going to say that Nancy Benoit with a blood alcohol level of 0.184 (Which in the report says B.A. could of been higher but decomposition makes it low) killed the son, hung Chris (a strong athletic wrestler) in the basement gym and then tied herself up in the bedroom and choked herself out?
I don’t think there is much to think about in this case. Chris murder his wife and child. It is hard to think that one of your heroes (I don’t know if he was one of your’s Jade) could do something like this but it happened.
When someone one goes on a serial killing usually the neighbors and friends all talk about what a quiet guy he was how the killer kept to himself. Well that is the same thing that has been said time and again about Chris.
I really do not think that the toxicology report raises any more questions. The only question not answered is, how a man could do this to his wife and child? Sadly, we may never know that answer.

Of course! Toxicology reports took too long, DUH! Everyone has ADD, especially wrestling fans. Let’s wait for a newer exciting story to fill the blog about now. Where are all the Who is Dating Whom blogs?!??!?! COME ON PEOPLE! Lashley and Kristal!? Let’s go!

Jade I am sorry if I did miss what you were saying in the post. I do look forward to your posts very entertaining and informative.
I do agree with el nagual about this story being old, to a point. This story has been beaten to death by the internet and media pundits that normally would not even care about Daniel, Nancy or Chris Benoit other then it had possible ‘roids involved. Kevin Nash was right when he said this was a topic because it was a “sexy news story” with steroids involved. John Kronus died the other day and there was no huge news stories about and why is that because the police did not come out and say that they found steroids in the house.
The reason I don’t think the toxicology being released brought on more discussion was because it did not really bring anything new to the table.

Yeah, obviously the toxicology report doesn’t really change anything, regardless of Nancy being drunk or Benoit having a therapeutic amount of rids in his system. That’s why the media hasn’t really gone crazy with it…the New York Times, which I usually respect, actually had the most sensational story…they made it sound like Benoit was hopped up on roids when he did all this, which is obviously not the case.
Also, I think this story’s coverage has slowed because of another big sports story–Mike Vick’s whole dog fighting debacle.
Might I say what an asshole that guy is.

No offence, el nagual, but when this story was fresh, you pasted quite a lot of blatently myopic spin-stories in your blog posts.
Jade makes a valid point in this post. Nancy died first, I believe, so she did not commit the crime. However, her being drunk before death, and what she did while drunk, could’ve largely contributed to Chris’ actions.

Isn’t it sad that just because we respected Benoit’s career a lot more than Nancy’s, aka Woman, we are so eager to find any little story to blame her for Daniel’s death? And then we want to be able to say that it was understandable for Chris Benoit to murder her? WELL HE PUT ON SOME GREAT MATCHES SO LETS ALL FIND REASONS!

Everyone ssems to be ready to crucify benoit and hold him guilty,none of you know what actually happened,how can you be so steadfast,give room for other possibilities.
Jade-i agree with you,the point of this article is to shed light on things we did’nt know about and just because we stop talking about it because we’re ‘bored’ leads to more idiots making unrealistic assumptions.
Wait for concrete proof which in this case will never come ,the only thing we know is that benoit did it but one has to consider the other factors that would have led him to do so,keep an open mind-that’s all i’m saying because your beliefs will influence someone else.

We all know he did it, why keep looking for answers? Was Nancy drunk? Who doesn’t get drunk? Was there a reason for him to do it? No. There is never a reason to kill your wife and son, never. He lost it, he killed them, maybe felt regret and killed himself. That’s it, nothing more.

prodigal- You took the words right out of my mouth. I wanted to see if someone could figure it out without me having to connect the dots for them.
Nancy couldn’t have killed either of them because she died first, but with how drunk she is, she easily could have contributed to this whole thing. I’m not saying that makes it right, but it doesn’t make the picture a little clearer.

hey negal,
We all know he did it? I guess you know that OJ really did it too? This story should never grow old. we lost a great wrestling star his wife and 7 year old son. A tragedy that should not be so lightly tossed aside for the next current event. we can never forget that chris nancy and daniel were human beings not just characters in a story.
Jade, Thanks for bringing this fact to the forum. I actually missed alot about the toxicology report as the big part was that chris was not pumped up on steroids that I overlooked the other points.
To everybody else. Don’t forget that this is an open forum a gift from Mr Luthor and we should be aware that we are all on it by his good graces. Treat everyone with th respect they are due and always above all else have fun.
