WWE Monday Night Raw Discussion: Fifteen Years

Tonight’s the big three hour Raw–hard to believe it’s been fifteen years since the show first started airing. Remember, tonight’s show starts an hour early at 8e/7c.
Confirmed for tonight’s show are Hulk Hogan, Eric Bischoff, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Mick Foley, Trish Stratus, Lita and Sunny (who’s said to have lost a lot of weight). There will also be a reunion of Evolution, with rumors stating that it will lead to some sort of Wrestlemania build for a match between Batista and Triple H.
And of course, there’s the McMahon family portrait, and Vince naming the greatest superstar in Raw history, which will no doubt be himself.
On the wrestling front, one match has been announced: a ladder match between Jeff Hardy and Carlito for the IC Strap. I’m betting that will turn out to be a pretty good match, because Carlito’s probably wanting to prove himself to the WWE brass.

I don’t know about everyone else but for the past week I haven’t been able to turn on a tv or radio in the past week without seeing an ad for this 15 Anniversary Raw so they’ve set the bar pretty high for themselves.

This raw just makes me realize even more how bad raw is at the moment.
BTW did anyone else see CM Punk drinking during the beer bash, that made me laugh.

Wow. This is the least number of comments I’ve ever seen on a Raw discussion. I usually use this to see how the show was the next day. I’m disappointed in you guys!

I loved the shit out of that Raw. I thought RVD got a HUGE pop probably because people didn’t realize he was going to be there while the other guys were all planned. Hogan really seemed to get emotional too. The ending was awesome with Austin and thanking the fans.
As for the actual wrestling - Carlito and Jeff put on a really good match IMO and Carlito actually looked good.
It’s weird to have a title change on regular TV but you knew it was coming when Dusty came out for commentary.
I’m going to the Smackdown/ECW taping tonight and I’m looking forward to it because they didn’t build the PPV that much on Raw so I hope everyone shows up tonight for Smackdown.
