WWE Monday Night Raw Discussion: Cena & Orton v. The Raw Roster

I will hand it to the WWE: they avoided making their main event for this evening predictable. I’m sure everyone assumed (I certainly did) that it would be John Cena v. Randy Orton, but they’ve played it differently–Triple H has “booked” John Cena and Randy Orton to team up and take on the entire Raw roster.
Here’s what I see happening: Cena goes Superman, takes out Orton and the Raw roster, only to be put down by a Pedigree to the cheers of the crowd. Book it.
Tonight we’ve also got new IC champ Chris Jericho kicking off Raw with the Highlight Reel. His guest will be the Big Show…who I’m sure will be touting his butt-kicking of Money Mayweather last week on Raw.

Fuck Raw I just read that Daniel Hill(Paul Bearer) is scheduled to be at tomorrows SD! taping. Although it’s not confirmed he will be on camera I would totally mark out to see The Undertaker and Paul Bearer back together again.

I don’t know if this is a spoiler, but tonight we will have Big Show vs. Y2J for the IC strap and McMahon vs. Flair in a street fight… you know that’s about all we see from McMahon are street fights and cage matches.

Triple H is good he doesn’t hog the spot light nearly as much as Hogan did and if Stone Cold and The Rock were still wrestling they would have 20 title rains also. Triple H just stuck around unlike The Rock and staid relatively injury free compared to others from the attitude era like Stone Cold. It’s been a while since he held the title give him a break.

Santino is defiantly good on the mic I just wish the WWE would put him in a match with someone who can really go so we can see what he’s got in the ring. He’s been in the WWE almost a year and has maybe 1 serious match on TV and that was against Y2J in his comeback match so of course Santino jobbed.

i think orton has had a fine title run, i don’t see how it has been ignored, aside from the fact that since winning the strap, smackdown has had consistently better main events than raw. orton’s shown that he is good enough to be in the main event, and he has really improved in and out of the ring this past year or so.
did jericho turn heel? if he turned heel i think he’ll win MITB. guess we’ll have to wait until next week.
i pick flair to win a wrestlemania. vince is gonna swerve all of us, except for me, ah ha ha ha ha, AH HA HA HA HA!

Good Raw. A few odd things but can skip over that.
Santino as ever hilarious, the Raw mainevent was the sort of crazy-ass stuff that I liked on TNA, but with Raw it actually makes sense story wise.
I think Orton has had a very good title reign too, he’s really developed as a character over the last few months. He was given an opportunity and took it. Take note Jeff Hardy.
