EliteXC Heat Discussion: Kimbo Slice v. Ken Shamrock

The time has finally come: tonight, we find out if Ken Shamrock Seth Petruzelli can defeat Kimbo Slice in the much-hyped main event of tonight’s EliteXC Heat event.
Remember, this card airs live at 9e/8c on CBS in the United States. Viewers outside the U.S. are plain out of luck.

- Heavweight bout: Kimbo Slice v.
Ken ShamrockSeth Petruzelli - Welterweight Title Bout: Paul Daley v. Jake Shields(c)
- Heavyweight bout: Andrei Arlovski v. Roy “Big Country” Nelson

But seriously, I knew that would happen when I heard Peteroselli’s (sp?) resume…some kind of karate champion and he was signed to the UFC and all that. Totally proves Dana White’s comments that Kimbo would get killed if he tried to fight any UFC fighter.
Real MMA fans around the world are rejoicing.
What a joke EliteXC is now, I doubt CBS will come calling again. Without Kimbo, they have no ratings.

kimbo getting knocked out is priceless other than tat I never want to see jake shields fight again. That fight was sad on so many levels. It is amazing how little some MMA fighters can know and still hold a belt in some fedreations.

That was the funniest fight that I have ever seen, bye bye Kimbo. The commentators sounded so disappointed by that result. That’s what you get for overhyping a bum.
Elite XC is a joke, Jared Shaw’s behaviour was disgraceful (he was yelling at the ref that Petruzelli hit Kimbo in the back of the head), as an executive of an MMA company, you are supposed to be impartial and not cheer for your favourites. Could you imagine Dana acting like that when Chuck lost? Good riddance to bad rubbish.
Commentary was biased for the AA fight, he clearly lost the first round and the ref should never have made them stand when Nelson was in side control. Good KO for AA though and the show gave Affliction great promotion.
Maybe Dana will reward Seth with a new contract with the UFC for that win, I can’t see Petruzelli wanting to stay with a company whose owners cheer for his opponent and try to fix his fight.
