WWE Monday Night Raw Discussion: Jericho in Charge

Apparently Mike Adamle is off “meeting with the McMahons” tonight, so Chris Jericho has been “put in charge” of Raw. See how I did the quotation marks there–that’s so you know that wrestling isn’t real! Sorry, Marcus.
Only match I’ve seen announced so far is Matt Hardy and Rey Mysterio v. Mark Henry and Kane. That should be pretty interesting after the way the Kane/Mysterio match ended last night. Remember, Mysterio was saying that he couldn’t feel his legs after he collided with the chair at the end of the match. It honestly seemed so realistic part of me wants to think that it was real, but I’m sure it wasn’t.
By the way, for those of you who didn’t see No Mercy, on the whole, it wasn’t that bad. In fact, I’d recommend watching it if you get the chance. The early portion of the show was pretty lame, as my comments on the discussion post reflected, but the final three matches were excellent, despite the way that Triple H won. Jericho/HBK was easily one of the best matches I’ve seen in a long time, although I know a lot of you will probably consider it “stale” since it doesn’t meet your high standards of feud-booking.
Hell, even the Taker/Big Show match delivered. I think that’s about as good as it gets when you’ve got two big men in the ring, and I thought the way that Big Show “KOed” Taker was pretty compelling–it’s definitely something different.

I havnt gotten to watch raw the past few weeks so i hope it does a decent job distracting me from studying for my spanish exam tomorrow upon my return to the forum, sounded to me like the MVP thing last n ight was kind of compelling as it sounded like he almost came off as a face for a bit, but thats just from what i was reading of course

yeah, he’s too good for the IC belt, and with these tri-branded ppvs there is so seldem room for a non-title match feud. We’ve had Y2J vs HBK, Undertaker vs Edge doesn’t really count cause they had the title untill their last match, Batista vs Cena was a 3 week attraction, I can’t think of anything else. And from the looks of the summerslam buyrates, I think the ‘Big 4′ are losing their luster, so to speak, their becoming all the same. I think they dug a hole they cant easily get out of with this ECW show, it has it’s upsides for development and getting the little guys on tv, but the PPV situation is a problem in my book.
