WWE Monday Night Raw Discussion: Press “Reset”; Three-Hours on Nov. 3

Tonight’s Raw marks WWE’s last chance to hit the “reset” button before the annual crapfest known as Cyber Sunday. Raw has been unwatchable for weeks, so let’s hope they give forth a good effort tonight.
I can’t seem to find any actual matches announced for Raw tonight, so who knows what they’ll come up with. Feel free to try and predict the main event for tonight’ show. I’ll guess Chris Jericho and Kane v. Rey Mysterio and Batista.
In other Raw news, the November 3 edition of Raw has been confirmed by WWE to be a three-hour show. The way the booking has been going, they might want to make the prisoners at Guantanamo Bay watch that edition of Raw–they’d be talking after thirty minutes. I guarantee you it would be way more effective torture than lame waterboarding.
In a press release to the Tampa media, WWE promoted the following matches for that night’s Raw:
The two big main event matches will be WWE World Heavyweight Championship Cage Match fights featuring Chris Jericho vs. Batista and DX vs. The Miz and John Morrison!
Normally I wouldn’t mind the cage match, but didn’t we just see Chris Jericho wrestle for the title in a cage against C.M. Punk? It seems like the bookers in the WWE have become fixated on cage matches and triple-threat matches. How about something new? And by new I definately don’t mean another freaking DX reuinion. One night only folks, we swear! UGH.

i might be one of the many few but i havent been able to get through a whole raw in about i say a month i turn it off usually at the 40 minute mark usually when i fall alseep and turn the channel the only wrestling show that i actually sit through now a days is ecw

Every Raw has been almost identical for the past few weeks with only minor additions or changes to the matches.

SCSA could still show up…Corpus is very close to Victoria. I doubt he will, though–I think they want to “save” him for PPV.

I dont think RAW’s been unwatchable, it’s not been good but no wrestling program with Chris Jericho as the World champion is unwatchable.

I know what you’re saying Lex. This RAW was very bad, very boring. I thought Jericho’s parts were the only entertaining ones, Santino was funny with his Goldust facepaint (although Goldust has the same ‘Jericho’ effect that makes me love him) but even that was ruined by Hacksaw who calls Beth a man, which makes me feel bad for thinking she’s more and more hot every week.
I’ve found myself growing tired of wrestling, WWE and TNA alike. I’m considering taking about a month off of watching it once Jericho drops the belt to Cena at Survivor Series or Amrmaggedon, whenever it is. A couple of years ago I went to Unforgiven in Toronto; the show was great live, magnificent moment after the show when Edge stood up to a ginormous standing ovation as he went to the back. But the night after that they had DX, who I hated, and Cena, who I hated, job out Edge, Cade, and Murdoch in the main event, so I just stopped watching wrestling (I got back into Dragon Ball Z, but that’s aside the point) because I was just soured on it. A couple of months later, I order Survivor Series without knowing the build up, and it wasn’t even that good a show, but because of my absence, I felt good about it. I think that might be an idea.

The only parts of Raw I really watched were the JBL/Steve Haastin match and the Santino segment–everything else didn’t really grab my attention. I like your idea of not watching wrestling for a month, but I don’t know if I could do that, even as bad as it is. The only time I’ve really never watched one of the shows was when I was in college–we didn’t get the channel that was carrying Smackdown at the time, so I missed all the Brock Lesnar/Kurt Angle/Undertaker stuff that was going on at the time.
Oddly, I’m kind of looking forward to Impact! this week, but only because it’s the live show. If that doesn’t live up to billing, we may be at a new low point for wrestling.

I hope TNA puts on a good show Thursday, we are in need of one. I know it would be real hard to stop watching wrestling, but honestly I’m only watching for Jericho, if he wasn’t world champion I’d be watching something else. I watch TNA and SD i guess just to see if they’re getting better. I don’t watch ECW because I always forget about it because we get it 3 days late at midnight here.

I loved that Kofi/CM vs Miz/Morrison match. Just goes to prove if you let the young guys put on a show without the politics, they can truly shine.

You are right, but I just dont want him to start acting like randy orton.just because a wrestler is a true heel dont mean the have to be boring..look at holly wood hogan, ric falir, edge, shawn micheals,and the real HHH.
