Evan Bourne Injury Update: Out 3-4 Months

Written by Lex on November 1st, 2008 in ECW, News, Raw, Smackdown, WWE.

I know everyone was pretty dismayed when news broke that Evan Bourne suffered an ankle injury.

Now we know more about that injury. According to Bryan Alvarez of F4WOnline, Bourne suffered a torn deltoid ligament and a dislocated left ankle. He’ll be wearing a boot on that knee for the time being.

Jason Powell of ProWrestling.net is reporting that recovery time for this injury is three to four months, so don’t expect to see Bourne back on TV before then.

This is a huge blow for wrestling fans since Bourne was consistantly involved in the best wrestling matches on WWE TV. His popularity has soared, and I’m betting he gets a huge push when he comes back in 2009.

this does suck he will def have a push when he comes back i hear hes one of the young kids who ask for advice and talk to the agents backstage about his matches lol he actually complained about not being on the European tour a while back which most wrestlers would of loved to have off

    jmart,

If that’s the case, he’s making all the right moves. That goes a long way with some of those guys.

  4. Tracy aka T-Rack Says:

That does suck he was awesome in that ring I hope it does mess things up for him.

    I got that feeling -

Evan will be just overshadowed when he comes back. I hope that’s not the case because the EXACT thing happened to our boy, Kennedy.

  6. Lex Says:

Yes, but Kennedy had some other issues, remember? Bourne just injured himself. Plus, Bourne is a better wrestler than Kennedy.

This reminds me of Smackdown vs Raw GM Mode when you overwork a wrestler through too many matches when he’s tired then he gets a random injury.

Same rules apply. I love watching him wrestle but dude had 5 matches on TV in the last 2 weeks. That’s good yet bad.

I am very sad now. I can’t live without seeing Bourne on ECW

this is really disappointing news. On a slightly tangeable point does anyone know anything on this Kizarny character that we saw a promo for on smackdown this week? Where’s he emerged from?

  10. Lex Says:

    d-love,

Do you remember Sinn in TNA? That’s him.

I’m not sure about coming back huge. A dislocated ankle is bad. Worse than a break because it messes up ligaments and tendons, stretches them in ways that they shouldn’t be stretched, and then they can overstretch like a rubber band. I dislocated my left ankle in 1987 and was never able to recover full range of motion from it. I really hope that he can recover though. He is awesome.
