WWE Monday Night Raw Discussion: 800

Remember, tonight’s Raw is the 800th edition of the show, and thus, a special three-hour episode, starting at 8e/7c.
Here’s what’s on the docket tonight match-wise:
- Cage Match for the World Heavyweight Championship: Chris Jericho v. Batista(c)
- D-Generation X v. The Miz and John Morrison
- 16 Diva Tag Team Match
You know, if WWE wanted to make this show really “special,” they might try to come up with a full-card ahead of time and give it that “Clash of the Champions” feel. I guess that’s just wishful thinking on my part.

Couldn’t they be a little more imaginative? Didn’t we just see a Chris Jericho cage match for the World Title a couple months ago?
Too bad that whenever they try for something different lately it’s a complete bust like that “First Time Ever Gauntlet” some weeks ago.

wow big surprise, Jsnwwf thought RAW was good. I thought it was at best a 3/10 show. Why make us wade through 2.5 hours of shit to give us a good payoff? The rest of the show was pure garbage. And Jsn, you can’t simply write off bad booking and a bad segment by saying “it’s entertainment”. That doesn’t fly, because somehow next week we’ve got to take those divas seriously again.
And that “Kung Funaki” segment? Boy oh boy.
Like I say, a 3/10 show.

i still rather watch roxi vs love over ne diva match cause it will just suck and yeah raw wasnt great the ending was good and thats it impact last week was better

So nobody is going to mention how horrible the Jericho/Batista match up was? At one point Jericho had to hold on not to fall out of the ring. Jericho was waiting for Batista to catch up to him all night. I don’t know if he was moving fast or Batista slow, but by accident Jericho won that match about 4 times. He looked awful just lounging around on top of the cage pretending to be hurt.
When Batista opened the gate and caught him and brought him back in all he had to do was turn around and walk down the ramp. If you want us to buy these matches you have to at least make them seem real.

I had fun watching RAW
The wrestling wasnt there, but it was entertaining in some parts. Mae Young? You didnt like seeing her “beat up” the heel divas? That was funny. Cmon, have a sense of humor.
Santino on the mic was good, as usual.
Orton kicking Ted was good.
HHH segment was funny NO MATTER WHAT YOU think of it. The crowd was into it and so was I.
How often do the words “RAW was entertaining/funny tonight?” Get off the blog with your constant negativity please.
I didnt see you mentioning any of the good parts of RAW. I wonder why. Is it because you never like what you see on TV?

Yea there were bad part(goldust/hornswoggle dancing, the DX tag match, ADAMLE…….WOW) but it wasnt a BAD RAW.

I dare say that I’ve been PWB longer than you have, so I don’t think I’m going anywhere anytiem soon. And anyway how about you get off the blog with your constant fanboy comments. Somebody has to balance you out. Seriously, has the WWE ever put out a bad show in your eyes? And if you look and read, it’s not just me. The majority of comments on last nights RAW were negative.
I did like the Orton/Priceless angle though. I like where that is going. It has serious potential. As normal, too little wrestling, too much other shit.
And I’m enjoying ECW tonight. How’s that for being positive?

I could write a book on the bad things that happen on RAW/Smackdown every week
that doesnt mean that for every time Hornswoggle tag teams with Boogeyman and defeat Shelton and MVP(just an example) in a 3 minute squash that I will jump online and complain
This month that sucked:
-KunFunaki beating MVP
-Hornswoggle dandces with Goldust, Boogeyman, Slaughter, Michael Cole, etc even though it was funny
-Kane/Rey storyline
-Undertaker/Big Show 1st person segments
-JBL
-HHH defeats Hardy 3 times this year alone
-Khali kiss cam
-Diva costume crap
-Victoria losing CONSISTENTLY to Bri “fucking” Bella
-Adamle = most segment in the history of wrestling last night
-Cody Rhodes
-MANU needs to be sent back
I can go on, DYNAMITE
I just wouldnt enjoy wrestling if I constantly went on a website to shit on wrestling, when I watch week in and week out

well i ended up not watching the jericho/tista cage match on the replay, so, yeah, im still not watching wrestling. I’ll leave one general comment that relates to this jsn/dynamite feud.
My outlook on wrestling is if I’m not enjoying myself, I stop watching (like khali segments and matches, divas matches that dont contain mickie, beth, or victoria, shitty promos, hornswoggle, karen’s angle (when it was on) etc. But when I do happen to sit through something that is mildly shitty, I try to see the best of things. I really try to like wrestling, I really do, even when it sucks I try my best. I stopped watching because there is not enough to hold on to at the moment. But if I continued to watch, I would probably have fun watching RAW, because Id turn it if i wasnt. sorry for rambling, Ill be back later.
