Does Eric Bischoff Own Hulk Hogan?

I try to refrain posting anything from TMZ on this blog, but I couldn’t resist a bit of Hogan family drama to kick off the weekend.
According to TMZ, Hogan’s former wife Linda Bollea is accusing the Hulkster of passing off his trademarks to Eric Bischoff:
In a pile of papers filed in Pinellas County Court, Linda says Hulk handed over the rights to his Hulk Hogan brands (like Hollywood Hulk, Hulkster, Hulkamania), grill, energy drink and more to his best friend Eric Bischoff for an insane discount. Linda’s pissed because these are tons of assets she now can’t cash in on.
Hulk’s attorney, David Houston, told us: “There has been no siphoning of money — if Linda has to ask again, we’ll be more than happy to provide the same answer.”
Linda’s also trying to keep Hulk’s handlebar mustache the hell away from her mother — because the Hulkster is convinced Linda’s been sending their old furniture (from her many remodels of their Florida home) to mommy dearest to keep … and he wants ‘em back.
I’m now left wondering how many versions of the word “Hulk” can be trademarked.

Hulk done it deliberately so Linda gets less. But all in all this is what you get with the stupid divorce culture that exists nowadays. They will soon need to change wedding vows, “Till we feel like it”

PF,
I think this divorce stuff is pretty messed up in general. Say you have a person in a relationship who makes all the money, and the relationship ends mutually. Why should the person who didn’t pull in any cash get half of everything? It makes no sense, especially if you don’t have kids. Also, alimony is really ridiculous. I understand child support payments, but when people start have to paying alimony to their former husband/wife who are in a committed relationship but not married, it’s really unfair. I’m not sure how all of this works in the UK, but divorce law needs some serious reform here. /rant
In this case, Linda obviously deserves something from Hulk since she helped raise their children and put up with all of his crap, but as much as I’m not a fan of Hulk’s, I hate to see his wife get some huge settlement off him–he’s the one who did all the work! Plus, I remember hearing she blew off the dude who wanted to give Hulk the product that later became the George Foreman grill. He ought to sue HER for that! That cost him MILLIONS.

PF, I’ll do you one better man: “Til we find each other boring”.
Since when did Hulk have a brand of energy drinks?

313rd,
EVERYONE has an energy drink these days. You can buy mine at your local 7/11, it’s called 820 splash.

Eric Bishoff will never own Hogan. Us hulkmanics own hogan lol

I think that was a smart move. She is trying to hurt him anyway she can just cause he screwed around on her. If she had small kids i could understand more money, but they r mostly grown now. She needs to grow up.

Hogan outside of wrestling = I dont care
LEX, what would Edge and Christian be fighting over, since it would be a TLC match?
November 15th, 2008 at 3:47 pm
Lex,
They should distribute the wealth case by case rather than have a one rule that fits all approach. That will get rid of any unfair cases as its mostly the same here in the UK.
Overall Linda should get about 1/4 of Hulks wealth as you said she did put up with his career/children. Also Hulk slept with a 19 year old woman, so reward her a bit more for damages. Then Linda should have to give back some of what she will receive from Hulk as she cost him the cashcow of George Foreman grills (even I have one). SORTED!
313rd,
That one will do nicely too, but its shocking why so many people get divorced. You would think they had something in order to make the effort to get married? You know like the woman is a doll, that would be a reason to get married.

JSN,
Who says something has to be hanging? Just make it a TLC match where Tables, Ladders and Chairs are legal…

Also, perhaps Christian could win the US Title…if you wanted to have something above the ring.

PF,
I think that’s about right.
