WWE Monday Night Raw Discussion: Stephanie McMahon Q&A; Triple H as Thor?
Written by Lex on November 17th, 2008 in Live Discussion, News, Opinion, Raw, Smackdown, WWE.

Tonight’s Raw will feature a potentially solid wrestling match: Randy Orton v. CM Punk. Note I said potentially solid. Orton’s matches are always judged on how often he goes into the headlock, so we’ll see if that’s within the first two minutes of the match–it usually is.
Also featured on tonight’s show wil be “Stephanie McMahon’s Raw Superstar Forum.” That segment will kick off Raw, and promises to be oh-so-exciting. Nothing like losing your audience to football in the first five minutes of the show.
Also, in other Raw-related news, PW Torch is reporting that Triple H is up to play the role of Thor in the movie Thor. I’m a big fan of the Thor comics published by Marvel (DC Sucks!), and I think he’d be a fine choice–he looks just like the guy. Also, if he’s off filming a movie, he won’t be clogging up the title scene on Smackdown.
Apparently it’s down to Trips and Daniel Craig (James Bond), so we’ll see if they go with big look-a-like or big star.
By the way, here’s Thor back in the day:

Oh, and uh, discuss Raw here.

Maybe Stephanie will give advice on how to breast feed in the superstar wrestling forum.

It was reported last week by all the movie blogs that Daniel Craig flat out turned the role down. I think they’ll go for another big name movie star before HHH gets the role Kevin McKidd(from the HBO series Rome and the NBC show Journey Man) is the current front runner from what I can tell. Gerard Butler from 300 name is also being thrown around but he may have also turned down the role.

Oh and DC doesn’t suck there not as good as Marvel but there decent the new Batman comic written by Kevin Smith is pretty good as is all of the recent Superman books.

I hope HHH doesnt O-D on stacker 2 for the role

I can’t see James Bond being the new Thor. However, on the otherhand, Triple H’s part in Blade 3 really didn’t stand out to me (nor do I ever remember the E ever really talking about HHH’s role in the movie). But if I had to say, it’d have to be between HHH and Gerard Butler.

If I had my choice it would be Daniel Craig he’s the best actor out of all of them followed closely by Kevin McKidd who should be alot more famous then he is. He was great in Rome but unfortunately for him the show was to expensive for HBO to keep it going and the other show he was on Journeyman got fucked by the writers strike. Triple H wouldn’t be a terrible choice if you wanted to keep costs down for the Avengers movie but I don’t know if he’s a good enough actor to pull off a lead role in a big budget action movie.

HHH would only be the best choice if they want an actor that looks similar to Thor. I would go with Craig if it was me though.

I will make a Statement right now!
If Victoria loses this match & The Smackdown Divas lose the Survivor Series match, then I will not watch a Divas match until past Wrestlemania(except for Victoria matched)
November 17th, 2008 at 9:16 pm
ugh, Kelly botched the finish
Botchamania will have that for sure
I will stand by my statement
November 17th, 2008 at 9:32 pm
HBK/Rey vs Miz Morrison? Yes!
November 17th, 2008 at 9:46 pm
I’m actually enjoying tonight’s RAW. I must be high.
November 17th, 2008 at 10:01 pm

November 17th, 2008 at 10:04 pm
awww
Morrison just Sweet Chin Music’d HBK on the neck
November 17th, 2008 at 10:37 pm
Matt Hardy? I am not even going to ask
Its obvious that Hardy will defeat (via interference) HHH on Smackdown since he isnt set for any match on the PPV card
Am I the only one watching this show? Where is the discussion?

DK is liking Raw, yet Jsn isn’t.
C’mon guys, end backwards day…

This was what a Lumberjack match is suppose to look like
This was the best Lumberjack match that I have seen since I was about 10, and I still didnt like it
The worst crowd RAW has been to all year long
What kind of discussion was this? I was typing to myself
November 17th, 2008 at 11:08 pm
and SCMike, I dont always like RAW
I just mostly comment on the good parts and really bad parts
November 18th, 2008 at 3:27 am
aren’t you named after a DC character lex?
November 18th, 2008 at 6:53 am
wow, I guess interest in wrestling is really down. 18 comments after RAW? It’s normally just the same 10 people too.
Average show overall I guess. Some good bits, some not so good. Good? I’m glad Miz and Morrison went over. Bad? Mike Knox is now Snitsky. Sub beard for bad teeth and it’s the same character. He’ll get one win and then lose every week until he’s fired.
And Victoria needs to get a bonus for her willingness to put over all the crappy divas who can’t wrestle.

Jade,
Yup. I took that name before DC went all looney with the “Identity Crisis,” that whole deal turned me off of their comics. I just plain didn’t like the story. Contrast that with Marvel’s awesome “Civil War.” Of course, if you don’t read comics, none of these means anything, lol.
I did almost buy the new DC Batman written by Kevin Smith that sideshow mentioned above, so I’ll have to check it out if he says its good.
As for Raw…meh. I thought the most interesting thing on the show was Matt Hardy and Regal’s brawl. I didn’t like the way they ended Raw at all. They usually save the “big brawl” for the last show before the Rumble.

speaking of DC, that new DC vs. Mortal Kombat fighting game is out. Looks interesting.
November 18th, 2008 at 10:26 pm
Let’s hope they do sign HHH as Thor and he goes on to movie stardom. Anything to get him off Smackdown.
November 18th, 2008 at 10:27 pm
I thought he was good in Blade 3.
