It’s finally here, the official trailer for ”The Wreslter” the movie I keep going on and on about. In it you’ll get your first good look at the best movie of the year and if you watch carefully you’ll see quick shots of Necro Butcher and R-Truth both of who are featured in the film. The song in the background is entitled ”The Wrestler” by Bruce Springsteen and was written especially for the movie if you like it you can download a rough demo version by clicking right here.

I can’t wait for this to come out. Any word on how the release is going to work? Will it be wide, or limited engagements?

On December 19th it’s gonna be released in New York, Los Angles and smaller artsy movie houses just so they can get it out before the end of the year to make it Oscar eligible. Early next year probably before the Oscars it will have a wider release but it is currently making its way across the country in the Film Festival circuit so if your lucking you can catch it at one of those like I did.

This looks great. I know there is a small theatre that always gets the indy flicks, hopefully they get it there so I can see it.

If it’s hitting the art houses, it should hit the Angelika here in Dallas–we get a lot of those types of films. Hopefully I’ll be able to see it in December!

My iPhone Movies ap says it’s releasing on December 1st in Oklahoma. If I get to see it, I’ll post details as to where. If anyone wants to drive up from Dallas (assuming it’s not in Tulsa), I’d love to have others join me.

I live in Lawton, Oklahoma and I want to see it as soon as possible. I can come up to OKC to see it, so maybe we should plan something? I will be watching it with my two best friends, but they’re the only takers I have so far (don’t know too many wrestling fans as a young creative working at an ad agency… haha).

This looks really good. I am so glad Nicholas Cage decided to drop out of this. I just don’t think I could buy him in this role.
