WWE.com: Jeff Hardy Found Unconscious (Updated 10:18 AM)

UPDATE (10:18 a.m. Central): PW Insider’s Dave Scherer is reporting that this is just a storyline and nothing to be concerned about. I’m guessing someone “attacked” him in the stairwell. I don’t really care for the way WWE released this “news” considering Jeff’s past, but maybe I’m just being overly-sensitive. Still, in a post-Benoit world, I don’t really know that releasing this type of “news” on your web site is advisable. They could have accomplished the same thing with him getting mysteriously beaten down at the beginning of the PPV.
Thanks to Kane for bringing this to my attention early this morning. From WWE.com:
BOSTON – Jeff Hardy was found unconscious in a stairwell at his hotel in Boston today, and was rushed to the nearest emergency room.
Due to privacy issues, WWE is not releasing the name of the hospital.
WWE.com will have more information if it becomes available.

I just hope it’s a medical issue and not a using one. Man this is awful because tonights the PPV. I bet Vince is scrambling to figure something out. Maybe Edge will come back or maybe Cena will interfer with it as well. I know he’s RAW but you never know when things like this pop up. I just hope for the best for Jeff.

god i pray that jeff hardy is fine. Everytime he’s get that push and always something brings him down. Hopefully he will be fine

According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, it appears as if the Jeff Hardy story on WWE.com is an angle for tonight’s show and not a legitimate news story. It is believed that it is an angle due to the fact that people in the company did not know anything about it (him being rushed to the hospital).

This is pretty tasteless considering that Eddie Guerrero died in Nov 2005 and was found unconscious. Vince is a prick!

If it’s just a work then that is bad. I guess Vince thought it would make for good publicity and boost sales. How low can you go for a dime.
@Kane….didn’t know that about Edge. That’s pretty cool. You should hear his southern accent….it’s like nails on a chalk board. When he was here he was picking at us southerners saying howdy ya’ll and we all wanted to tar and feather him.

You guys should have seen GameFaq’s PWB reaction to this whole WWE work… people were freaking out that this was going to be Jeff Hardy’s 3rd strike and that he would be out of the running for winning the Money in the Bank or the title at Wrestlemania like he’s slated to do…
anyways it turns out that I think Jeff Hardy is in line to face Edge for the World Heavyweight Championship at Wrestlemania… I hope Jeff Hardy beasts HHH at ‘mania, because that moment would be so much greater. So much more epic!
