SMVP Productions Returns
Written by scotlandsmvp on December 2nd, 2008 in Video, WWE, Wrestlemania.
After a long absense from the New PWB. I have returned with my new tribute video. Now. Many of you who can cast your mind back a few months will know I was making a Chris Jericho tribute video. This has however been unable to matrialise and has been put on the shelf for another time. However, I did have another video on standby incase something was to go wrong with the Jericho tribute. That video did materialise but lacked a song to go with it. So that was also put on the shelf. Then last Saturday, it finally became a reality. With the download of Nickelback’s new album “Dark Horse” I found the song I was looking for.
Now without further ado,
SMVP Prodcutions is proud to present. WRESTLEMANIA. THE SHOWCASE OF THE IMMORTALS

It’s good and all, it’s just the song. Nothing screams “not wrestling” like Nickelback.
I have this idea to do a Muse’s “Invincible” type of thing for WM video, but I haven’t the commitment to chop all the video on my DVD collection. I have an idea of where to go with it, and the order the segments would go in, but no long time commitment from my end. Maybe over the month of January, when Fall semester is off, and I have a month until Spring starts up. It’s certainly fitting with the 25th WM coming up and all.

The thing was I though the song sounded like it fit the video. Plus I kinda wanted to use a Nickelback song for a while now. I wanted to use “Rockstar” for the original John Morrison tribute I did but I thought that it wasn’t as good as “Hollywood” (Saliva). Some people have said they liked the song and others haven’t. I guess it’s like Marmite. You either love it or you hate it. Also, I am planning on re-releasing this around Wrestlemania time but I’ll add some clips from WM24.

SCMike,
Muse, Radiohead, The Killers, Nickelback and all these rock bands are so weak. They actually are just musicians and not rock n roll. Rock n Roll bands were like Led Zep, Sex Pistols, The Doors, D Generation, Iron Maiden and The Who as they lived fast and were larger than life on stage.

The Doors went unappreciated in their time, and raised momentum later on.

How is that Crue song fitting? It’s an WM intro, and they are usually, this soft yet recognizable music. Not a ballad, but a soft feel to the guitar and drum beats.
Also, don’t diss The Killers, they’ve yet to have a bust album.

Doesnt matter if you get appreciated, the whole point is to do your thing. Jim Morrison came off rebellious and lived it fast (drugs and had many lovers).
Have some classic music in the beginning, then put in electric shock sound effect and then kick onto livewire song. Also speed the vid up and it will be perfect.
On Muse, they put me too sleep and should be called Snooze or Snuse.

If it’s music we’re gonna fight about, let’s discuss best themes in wrestling. Kurt Angle’s TNA is a great entrance theme.
