TNA Impact! Discussion: Big Things Poppin’…

Written by Lex on Thursday, November 13th, 2008 in Live Discussion, TNA.

Tonight’s Impact! is going to feature a huge storyline development, so be sure to watch. Here’s the preview from TNAWrestling.com:

PREVIEW FOR THURSDAY’S HUGE “iMPACT!” BROADCAST ON SPIKE: THE AFTERMATH OF TURNING POINT

This Thursday night, TNA Wrestling returns to Spike for two hours of Total Nonstop Action featuring the aftermath of the Turning Point Pay-Per-View event!

The below is an early preview of the huge broadcast. The card is subject to change:

- The big story going into Thursday’s “iMPACT!” is how the TNA originals like Samoa Joe and AJ Styles will react to the Main Event Mafia’s total domination at Turning Point. The M.E.M. won all of their bouts, leaving the young lions of TNA at a huge disadvantage going into Thursday’s broadcast. Is the war already over? How will the TNA originals react?

- Immediately following Sunday’s Pay-Per-View, Executive Shareholder Mick Foley told TNAwrestling.com that he had met with TNA Founder Jeff Jarrett - and the two agreed that there will be THREE huge title matches on Thursday’s broadcast starting at 9ET on SpikeTV! Who will get the shots - and who will defend their gold? Will The Main Event Mafia be forced to put their championships on the line? Tune in and find out!

- Speaking of the Main Event Mafia, they will add yet another member to the group this Thursday as - stipulated by his loss to Booker T at the PPV - “The Instant Classic” Christian Cage must join them! What will happen on Thursday when Cage is forced to side with Sting, Nash, Angle, Booker and Steiner? Will all hell break loose - or will Cage accept his new role in TNA?

- Plus, the broadcast will feature The Main Event Mafia’s “Big Poppa Pump” Scott Steiner vs. “The War Machine” Rhino! Two of the biggest bad-asses in TNA Wrestling collide this Thursday night! Will Rhino be pulled into the war between the Main Event Mafia and the TNA Originals?

All this and much more this Thursday on “iMPACT!” on SpikeTV, including news on TNA’s “Final Resolution” Pay-Per-View on Sunday, December 7

I’m just hoping for another sweet Scott Steiner promo!

TNA Impact! Discussion: Cage’s Decision

Written by Lex on Thursday, October 30th, 2008 in Live Discussion, TNA.

For the second week in a row, I’m actually going to watch Impact!. Here’s what TNA has in store for us tonight, courtesy of TNAWrestling.com:

- After what went down on the live broadcast involving the formation of the Main Event Mafia alliance of Sting, Kevin Nash, Kurt Angle and Booker T, the wrestling world wants to know how the young lions like Samoa Joe and AJ Styles will react. According to sources, Joe and AJ have already begun recruiting other superstars to join their side - and they plan to speak out this Thursday night on SpikeTV! Will all hell break loose as the war between the Main Event Mafia and the new generation continues to intensify? Tune in and find out!

- BUT, the big question is what will unfold on the broadcast as NEW TNA Executive Shareholder Mick Foley assumes power on “iMPACT!”. Will Foley have something to say about the Main Event Mafia vs. the new generation? How will he change the landscape of TNA in his new role as shareholder with the company? Plus, we understand TNA founder Jeff Jarrett will be on the broadcast along with Foley to address the announcement!

- In Knockouts tag team action, it will be The Beautiful People facing the team of Christy Hemme and ODB

- The Motor City Machineguns will be in tag team action

- According to sources, “The Instant Classic” Christian Cage will make his decision whether he will fight Booker T at Turning Point on November 9! If Cage wins, he would get the Legends Championship. If he loses, he would be forced to join The Main Event Mafia!

Let’s see if Hell has actually frozen over and if I really enjoy Impact! two weeks in a row.

TNA No Surrender Discussion: Ladder of Love Match; Mick Foley?

Written by Lex on Sunday, September 14th, 2008 in Live Discussion, PPV, TNA.

Lex’s note: As usual, no posting over this until tomorrow.

Another Sunday, another wrestling PPV: this time, it’s TNA’s No Surrender. And yeah, I couldn’t resist making reference to the “Ladder of Love” match. That’s pure Russo greatness.

First off, the now requisite poll:

Will you order TNA No Surrender?

View Results

Here’s tonight’s card, courtesy of TNAWrestling.com:

  • MAIN EVENT FOR THE TNA WRESTLING WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP: Champion Samoa Joe vs. Booker T vs. Kurt Angle vs. Christian Cage
  • TNA WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH: Beer Money, Inc. vs. The Latin American Xchange
  • X DIVISION CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH: Champion “Maple Leaf Muscle” Petey Williams vs. Consequences Creed vs. Sheik Abdul Bashir
  • MIXED MARTIAL ARTS MATCH: “The Phenomenal” AJ Styles vs. Frank Trigg
  • TAG TEAM MATCH: Abyss & Matt Morgan vs. Team 3D
  • KNOCKOUT WOMEN’S CHAMPIONSHIP: Champion Taylor Wilde vs. Angelina Love
  • LADDER OF LOVE MATCH: “Black Machismo” Jay Lethal vs. “The Guru” Sonjay Dutt
  • CHALLENGE MATCH: The Rock N’ Rave Infection (Lance Rock, Jimmy Rave and Christy Hemme) vs. The Prince Justice Brotherhood (Curry Man, Shark Boy & Super Eric)
  • FALLS COUNT ANYWHERE: ODB vs. Awesome Kong w/ Raisha Saeed

Weirdly, the match that stands out to me on this card is the one they just added: ODB v. Awesome Kong. That should be pretty wild. The MMA match will probably be stupid, especially if AJ loses.

Also, TNA is hinting at a Mick Foley appearance tonight–their website currently features a smiley face covered in barbed-wire. Next to that, it says “Have a nice Sunday!” We’ll see if that appearance materializes.

TNA Impact Discussion: Homicide v. Sonjay Dutt

Written by Lex on Thursday, March 20th, 2008 in Uncategorized.

So TNA’s big match this week is Homicide v. Sonjay Dutt. That’s what they are pushing for Impact? Hmm. Actually, this might bode well for the show if they have two X Division wrestlers taking center stage. I’ll definitely watch!

Also, Sharmell will be returning to Impact. I’m sure Robert Roode will show up and continue the never-ending feud. It’s like the “Neverending Story,” but not as good. Ha!

Finally, AJ Styles is brining a special guest to the Impact zone. I’m hoping it’s one of those alligators from that place he and Karen visited a few weeks back. AJ Styles v. an alligator in a no-ropes mat wrestling contest. That’s some ratings right there. He’d totally hit that alligator with a Pele!

WWE/TNA: Notes and rumors. SPOILER ALERT!!!!

Written by El Nagual on Thursday, December 6th, 2007 in Uncategorized.

WWE

Change in Flair storyline
The angle of the “Road of retirement” of Flair is going thru various changes being this the reason that Flair wasn’t on TV this past Monday.

There are still no details but it seems the story line will go turn into a minor story other than planned.

End of ECW story
Vinny Mac made the decision to end the Balls Mahoney/Kelly Kelly storyline because they see a lot of potential in her and they believe it’s wrong to associate her with a wrestler at this moment.

In addition, there has been talks to move her to one of the other shows.

TNA

Notes and rumors of the company
-The ex race car driver Hermie Sader will be a permanent commentator next to Don West and Mike Tenay (These guys will never learn)

-Up to this moment they have no interest in Chris Masters

-Reports say Samoa Joe apologies for his comments on Turning Point what’s interesting is that he was not part of the recordings for the next two shows.

-It is being rumored Judas Mesias Vs Abyss for the January PPV.

TNA show recordings. SPOILER!!! DO NOT READ PAST HERE IF YOU HATE SPOILERS!!

In the recordings for the December 13 show, Judas Mesias makes his return to TNA when in a segment James Mitchell calls Abyss to come to the ring but of course it’s a trap and Mesias leaves Abyss bloodied in the ring.

Scott Steiner beats BG James, Petey Williams and Christopher Daniels. The wrestlers open their briefcases from Turning Point (Daniels wins his from Senshi) Steiner gets a shot at the X Division title, Williams for the World title and BG for the tag titles and Daniels is out of the company.

Kaz over Relik. After the match Black Reign comes out attacks Kaz and puts the rat on him.(Flashbacks of Jake the Snake done way better!)

Booker over Chris Harris

Black Machismo over Johnny Devine

Robert Roode and Angle over Christian Cage in a handicap match. The heels keep on atacking and AJ Styles comes down but doesn’t make the save. (About time!)
