ECW on Sci-Fi Discussion: Hardy v. Henry

Written by Lex on Tuesday, December 30th, 2008 in ECW, Live Discussion, WWE.

Matt Hardy and Mark Henry will face off yet again on ECW tonight. I’m assuming the match is non-title.

In addition, Miz and Morrison will kick off the show with a live edition of the Dirt Sheet.

Tonight’s ECW main event is a six-man tag: John Morrison, The Miz and Jack Swagger take on CM Punk, Kofi Kingston and Ricky Ortiz.

I like five out of the six guys in this match, but Ricky Ortiz just bothers me. He’s the one wrestler on ECW (aside from Boogeyman) that I just can’t stand. I don’t see him getting over to the point where he’ll become more than a mid-card draw–anyone disagree?

No other matches have been announced for tonight’s show. Hopefully we’ll see more between Finlay and Mark Henry, as that’s been a consistently good feud.

Tonight’s ECW show will feature Tony Atlas’ first WWE match in 20 years when he teams up with Mark Henry to face Finlay and Hornswoggle.

In addition, The Miz and John Morrison will face Jimmy Wang Yang and Kung Fu Naki, and the Boogeyman will wrestle a jobber. Sound pretty missable!

Tonight’s ECW features Jack Swagger and Tommy Dreamer in an extreme rules match that was said to be very good, so be sure to check it out.

ECW on Sci-Fi Discussion: Six-Man Tag

Tonight’s ECW features a six-man tag main event: William Regal, Cody Rhodes and Mark Henry will take on Matt Hardy, Kofi Kingston and Finlay.

In addition, Jack Swagger and Tommy Dreamer will face off in some kind of amateur wrestling match. Nothing like stealing TNA’s ideas!

Bottom line for this one: Finlay v. Matt Hardy will be a good match. So watch.

ECW on Sci-Fi/Presidential Election Discussion

Written by Lex on Tuesday, November 4th, 2008 in ECW, Live Discussion, WWE.

I can’t honestly say I’ll even watch ECW tonight with the presidential election coverage on–as most of you in the U.S. know, there’s not much better drama than an election. Feel free to talk about it here, if that’s your cup of tea.

Election or no election, the show must go on for ECW. Tonight, Matt Hardy will kick off the show in a wrestling match. Hopefully we’ll find out who the next contender for his title will be. I’d like to see John Morrison get a shot at feuding with him. I think they could put on some pretty exciting matches.
