Mr. Kennedy out for 4-6 Months

Written by scotlandsmvp on Wednesday, August 27th, 2008 in News, PWB, WWE.

The news keeps getting better for WWE right now. Just 24 Hours after finding out John Cena will be out for at least 3 months. They have been hit with another injury worry

Source: Wrestlingattitude.com

SmackDown Superstar Ken Kennedy is scheduled for shoulder surgery this Friday. Kennedy injured his shoulder during a house show match with WWE United States Champion Shelton Benjamin earlier this month, and has been working lightly ever since.

Kennedy was diagnosed with a torn labrum and damage to his rotator cuff by Dr. James Andrews in Birmingham, Alabama. After two weeks of rehab and no progress, it was determined he would require surgery. He is expected to miss four to six months after the procedure, which will be performed by Dr. Andrews.

Kennedy is going to be out for 4-6 months. This is the same injury that screwed Kennedy out of winning the US title at Summerslam (Originally, it was Shelton against Kennedy but he got injured and it was replaced by MVP/Hardy) and now it’s going to keep him out for up to the Royal Rumble. Well, we could be in for a great pop when he returns.

Mr Kennedy Injured AGAIN

Written by scotlandsmvp on Wednesday, August 6th, 2008 in Uncategorized.

SmackDown Superstar Mr. Kennedy suffered a dislocated shoulder during a match with Shelton Benjamin on Monday night in Macon, Ga., according to JRsbarbq.com.

Jim Ross noted that Kennedy is expected to be “out of action for a few weeks depending on the results of his latest MRI.”

My 5th topic today cause I have nothing better to do with my time and JSNWWF, NOW IT’S SEVEN. This is my one for the day and man does this suck. I remember in Lex’s interview with Nigel McGuinness he said that if something goes wrong then you “McGuinness’d it” well now it “Kennedy’d it” because this guy has nothing but bad luck.

Let’s look see.

He’s been out with a latissimus dorsi tear back in 05. He was out for six months.

An exposed cranium laceration, required 20 Stitches to close

A massive hematoma. Cost him the Money In The Bank and about 6 weeks of action

Suspended for thirty days in accordance with WWE’s Wellness Policy.

And now this. This is in the space of what, three years.

Smackdown! Discussion: Jeff Hardy vs John Morrison

Written by sideshowraheem on Friday, July 4th, 2008 in Uncategorized.

First off pardon me if this post seems a little off I was at a BBQ and I had a few drinks(which I rarely do) and I’m a little buzzed. Anyway it may be the alcohol in my system but tonight’s Smackdown looks excellent on paper it features PWB’s favorite type of match A POLE MATCH!!! Victoria vs. Michelle McCool vs. Kelly Kelly vs. Cherry vs. Maryse the winner will face Natalya Neidhart for the WWE Smackdown Diva’s Championship. And we get a great swash match no not Vladimir Kozlov vs A Random No Name, its Umaga vs. Funaki excited yet?

Seriously, there’s defiantly some things worth watching on tonights show Matt Hardy will defend his US Title in a Fatal-4-Way match with Ken Kennedy, Shelton Benjamin, Chavo Guerrero. Also Jeff Hardy and John Morrison will try to bring all that in ring chemistry they showed on Monday night’s a year ago to Friday when they face off. And in a segment which is sure to be great Triple H will be the guest on MVP’s “VIP Lounge”. Here’s the entire card for tonights show.

  • Fatal-4-Way for the US Title: Matt Hardy(c) vs. Ken Kennedy vs. Shelton Benjamin vs. Chavo Guerrero
  • Star On A Pole Match: Victoria vs. Michelle McCool vs. Kelly Kelly vs. Cherry vs. Maryse
  • Hawkins & Ryder vs. Jesse & Festus
  • Funaki vs. Umaga
  • Jeff Hardy vs. John Morrison
  • MVP’s “VIP Lounge” with Triple H as his guest.

Edge and Vickie Guerrero will also be appearing on the show of course.

Countdown To Wrestlemania 24: Wrestlemania 23

Written by sideshowraheem on Friday, March 28th, 2008 in Uncategorized.

WE MADE IT PEOPLE!!! For 22 straight days I’ve counted down every single Wrestlemania and now we’ve finally reached the end. Before I go ahead with the recap of Wrestlemania 23 lets just go over the main thing you should have learned about Wrestlemania in the past 22 days. Wrestlemania is never ever good from top to bottom for every match as good as Stone Cold vs Brett Hart there are at least 3 matches as bad as Kane vs Khali in fact any Wrestlemania with more then 3 great matches on the card should be considered a classic. With that said lets get to Wrestlemania 23.

Wrestlemania 23 set an all-time attendance record of 80,103 at Ford Field in Detroit, Michigan. The show also had one of the highest Wrestlemania buyrates ever with 1.2 million buys. The event was also the largest audience to assemble for a WWE event since SummerSlam 1992, which attracted 80,355 to Wembley Stadium in London, England. Aretha Franklin performed “America the Beautiful” at the start of the event, reprising her role from twenty years earlier at Wrestlemania III. Believe it or not this is the 5th consecutive Wrestlemania without an Intercontinental Championship match on the card and the 4th with the IC Champion being active on the card. Chris Benoit made his final Wrestlemania appearance when he defeated MVP to retain the United States Championship. Donald Trump made his third Wrestlemania appearance this time as apart of the show in the infamous Hair vs Hair match with Vince McMahon.

The Wold Heavyweight Championship match put The Undertaker’s 14 and 0 Wrestlemania streak against the champion Batista. After an exchange of several devastating attacks, including a Batista Bomb, Undertaker sealed his victory with a Tombstone Piledriver to keep his Wrestlemania streak alive. This was the fourth year in a row that the World Heavyweight Championship has changed hands at Wrestlemania. In the evenings final match Shawn Michaels took on John Cena for the WWE Championship this was Cena’s third year in a row competing for the WWE Championship in the main event. Like the previous two years John Cena would come out victorious bring his Wrestlemania record to 4 and 0.

WWE Monday Night Raw Discussion: HBK v. Kennedy, Kennedy

Written by Lex on Monday, January 21st, 2008 in Uncategorized.

First off, don’t forget to VOTE for the PWB 2007 Awards over on the forums. I may have to extend the voting another week to see if we can rally more peeps to vote.

Tonight marks the WWE’s first foray into HD programming. Unfortunately for me, I don’t have USA HD, so I won’t be able to check out wrestling in HD until Smackdown comes on Friday night.

Tonight’s Raw features what could be a great match between HBK and Kennedy, and Triple H facing off against a mystery opponent for a spot in the Rumble. Also, Vinny Mac has ordered Jeff Hardy and Randy Orton to shake hands in the middle of the ring. They damn well better be selling the crap out of that spot last week, or it’s going to look silly.

Discuss Raw here. Any guesses on who Triple H’s mystery opponent is?

Mr. Kennedy Says It’s Not His Fault His Doctor Was A Quack

Written by sideshowraheem on Sunday, December 2nd, 2007 in Uncategorized.

An interview with Ken Kennedy was published in the Charleston Post-Courier yesterday. When asked about the suspension due to his name showing up on the Signature Pharmacy list Kennedy had this to say:

“I had a legitimate medical reason to have it. How was I supposed to know my doctor’s a quack? I was injured and had a legitimate reason. I tore my lat in 2005. I had surgery, went home and had a staph infection that I almost died from. I lost about 45 pounds in about three days. I had a legitimate medical reason for having it, however my name turned up on that list. Vince and the company’s hands were tied. They had to suspend me….It’s one of those things. But stuff happens in this business. I’m going to learn from my mistakes. I’m not going to make that same mistake again. I’m just going to keep pushing on and moving forward.”

This is an interesting excuse but I’m not sure I’m completely buying it. Kennedy was severely injured and did have a staff infection but if these injuries did require the use of steroids or other human growth hormones then shouldn’t they have been prescribed by the doctor that treated and operated on him not this shady Internet site. It’s not the steroid use that bothers me(these are grown men that know the consequences of there actions) what bothers me is the crazy stories that these guys come up with after there caught. Kennedy says he needed the drugs due to an injury, Chris Masters says he doesn’t know how he failed that second test and Booker T even said during a recent TNA conference call interview he may have been the victim of a conspiracy(here’s the link). Do these guys honestly think were that stupid? Anyway, you can read the full article on Mr. Kennedy’s official web site.
